It’s time to undo the carnage of Thanos’ evil misdeeds that wiped off half the universe in Avengers: Infinity Wars. The superheroes now come together for the final act, to avenge the death and destruction of the universe at the hands of Thanos. But in the end, will the mission be accomplished?
Review:
At the onset, let me tell you. Avengers: Endgame is for two kinds of people that exist in our universe. One, who is a fan and the other who is not. If you fall in the latter (like me) chances are you might switch sides after watching this one. What the Russo brothers end up accomplishing in the final installment is in many ways, far bigger and better than any of the previous ones.
And there are a number of reasons to support this claim. Starting with Iron Man followed by Captain America, Thor, Thanos, Black Widow, the Hulk, Antman, Pepper Potts, Captain Marvel and many more. Collectively, they represent the entire Universe. They are all there and for good reason. They have varied screen time, but almost equal significance. Just the sheer ability to pull that balance off deserves applause. You can pick your favorite and root for your superhero, and there is no hurry. You have a full 3 hours to revel in the glory of these screen demigods. And this time they come with more than just superpowers. They are as much humane and emotional beings too, who will make you laugh, cry, angry, fall in and out of love.
It’s wholesome, it’s the whole package and even if you’re not someone who has been lapping it up from your past life, the Endgame won’t leave you disappointed. Writers Chris and Stephen take you along all the way, back and forth, past, present and the future – adequately explaining the plot and piecing the puzzle for you. As the action becomes more intense, so does your investment into the story and the characters. The plot twists unfold in ways more than one and you will not see them coming even if you’re an expert.
It’s long yes, but strong too. A befitting tribute to the 21 iconic films of the Marvel Cinematic Universe that have created superheroes and superfans.
So is it worth all the hype? Hell yeah! Grab a fan and go for it. It will be double the fun!
