BANGLADESH CAPTAIN, MASHRAFE MORTAZA

“The boys should feel proud, but at the same time I feel we have to learn so many things. I think every time we play this kind of tournament we are struggling somewhere. Like today we had a good start but could not go through. If we look at the last three four matches we played we lost so many wickets early but we still managed to score 240-250. I think the bowlers have done a really good job in this tournament. Every time our batters scored more than 240, we were able to win the matches. The team can be proud, but we have to move forward from here.”

INDIA CAPTAIN, ROHIT SHARMA

“I don’t think Bangladesh is a walkover team. In the last 2-3 years they have played very well, and have put on some impressive performances. In this final our team did not focus on the opposition, instead we were focused on playing our cricket to the best of our ability. The opposition could have been Afghanistan, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Hong Kong or Afghanistan, our job was to just go and play and win matches. By focusing on the opposition, we move away from thinking about our own game. I said at the start of this series, that more than the opposition we have to think about what we can do.”
